Stone
i am but a dirty stone
thrown into a stagnant pool
a thud a sickly splash
ripples quickly vanish
all that's left of me
is lying in the murky waste
drowned dumb dead as stone
cold and uncaring
i stare from the shallow sludge
sunlight drifts downward
too weak to warm
too feeble to illuminate
here i wait
patiently silently
for the storm
to wash me away
thrown into a stagnant pool
a thud a sickly splash
ripples quickly vanish
all that's left of me
is lying in the murky waste
drowned dumb dead as stone
cold and uncaring
i stare from the shallow sludge
sunlight drifts downward
too weak to warm
too feeble to illuminate
here i wait
patiently silently
for the storm
to wash me away

Depressing :\
Wait - maybe you aren't a stone at all but a dirt clod, waiting to melt away, to nourish the grass around whose roots you lie. I didn't know they had stones in Texas cow fields...
granny: The rains have left. I tried to herd them your way but sorry there was no such luck.
pixie: I can't be happy smiley all the time. But I do try.
terry: There are lots of Indian Sex Stones laying around.
Is that what you are? tee hee. What do they do?
Now I'm depressed...definitely depressed. ;)
Jo, sorry about that depression.
Maybe this post will turn that frown upside down.
